Why did you choose Davies?
Davies is the standard for legal excellence – in its work and in the people who make up the firm. Everyone is treated as an individual, and receives personalized support for their professional growth. At Davies, I have the opportunity to be mentored by some of the best lawyers in Canada, who view my success as being as important as their own.
If you were not a lawyer, what career would you have chosen?
I would have loved to work in international diplomacy. I’ve always been interested in the intersection between policy, law and governing complex relationships between people, groups and nations. Balancing competing views and interests of nations would require problem-solving at the highest level and would have been a fascinating career.
Whom do you most admire?
Anthony Bourdain, from whom I learned to approach people, no matter our differences, with compassion and humour.
