Marie-Sophie Dromer
Student, Montréal
Marie-Sophie is drawn to law as an extremely well-rounded profession that encompasses all the aspects she looks for in a career: intellectual reflection, working with clients, teamwork and continuous learning.
She looks forward to exploring her interest in commercial real estate, sparked by taking a property class in her first year of law school.
If you were not a lawyer, what career would you have chosen?
An interpreter at the United Nations, because I enjoy the social aspect but also the fast-paced environment and the chance to meet very interesting people and learn more about global issues.
Is there something about you that we would be surprised to learn?
I published a children’s mystery novel when I was 12.
Is there an organization that means a lot to you?
In my first year of law school, I got the chance to create a legal guide for visually impaired individuals with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind. I found it extremely meaningful to be able to empower people by providing them with tools to defend their rights.
