Élyse’s science studies allowed her to develop her analytical skills and the ability to link specific cases to her body of knowledge in order to draw conclusions.

Élyse chose to work at Davies because of the excellence and variety of cases and because she felt part of the team from the very first time she met members of the firm.

If you had not chosen law, what career path would you have taken?

If I was not in law, I would have liked to be a geological engineer. I love to be in nature and having studied natural sciences, I would have liked to innovate with respect to the environment.

From whom did you learn the most on a personal or professional level? What did this person teach you?

One of my swimming coaches inspired me tremendously with his dedication. He knew how to motivate the team when a competition was not going well. His determination and positive attitude are qualities I want to develop throughout my career.

Tell us about an organization that means a lot to you and why.

An organization that means a lot to me is Chiots Nordiques (Northern Puppies), a charity that deals with canine overpopulation and animal health in Indigenous communities.
