University of TorontoWith a double major in Global Health and Bioethics, Rushnan honed her analytical skills through applying ethical theories and philosophy to current and emerging biomedical issues.
Davies’ generalist approach appeals to her, together with opportunities to explore various practice areas.
Is there a practice area or industry in which you are particularly interested?
Privacy. With how rapidly technology develops (especially in the biomedical sector), we will face many novel and unanswered legal questions in the coming years. Solving them will take creative and forward-thinking problem-solving, and I want to be at the forefront.
Is there something about you that we would be surprised to learn?
I grew up in Australia! I have family videos for proof. Forever devastated over having lost my accent, though.
Is there an organization that means a lot to you?
Canada Learning Code (CLC) champions digital and technological literacy and computer science education for all, but particularly, women, youth and people from vulnerable socioeconomic backgrounds. I volunteered for CLC throughout high school and later worked for the organization during undergrad.
