Davies Honoured for Americas M&A Tax Deal of the Year at ITR Americas Tax Awards 2015
Last night at the International Tax Review’s (ITR’s) Americas Tax Awards, Davies was a recipient of the Americas M&A Tax Deal of the Year award in recognition of its work on Burger King Worldwide, Inc.’s acquisition of Tim Hortons Inc. and the creation of Restaurant Brands International. The firm was also shortlisted for Canada Tax Firm of the Year.
Held annually, the ITR Americas Tax Awards were presented on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at The Pierre in New York City. Based on size, innovation, complexity and impact, the awards recognize transactions, planning or cases by North and South American firms and in-house teams that break new ground, set market precedents and have a cross-border element.
