Davies Welcomes Jacob Yau to the Tax Group in Toronto
We are pleased to welcome Jacob Yau as a partner in our Toronto office Tax group.
Jacob has extensive experience in tax litigation, having argued before the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal on matters including income tax, excise tax and the general anti-avoidance rule (GAAR). He advises both domestic and international clients on corporate tax, tax planning, business structuring, voluntary disclosures, tax compliance and audits.
In addition to his practice, Jacob has been a presenter and panelist at various tax conferences across Canada, as well as being an editor of International Tax Planning by Federated Press.
Prior to joining Davies, Jacob was a partner at a large Canadian law firm, having started there as a student in 2013.
