What common myth about Davies would you want to dispel? How has it proven to be untrue?

A common misconception about Davies is that they exclusively seek a very specific and stereotypical type of applicant from which they never deviate. This has proven to be entirely unfounded in my experience, given my rather unconventional CV. It is evident that Davies does value uniqueness and diversity in their applicants. This demonstrates Davies’ desire for genuine, well-rounded and distinctive candidates, underscroing the firms commitment to diversity and innovation.

Is there an organization that means a lot to you? And how are you involved?

Coptic Lawyers Canada holds a special place in my heart, as I am proud to be one of its co-founders. It is an organization dedicated to empowering lawyers, law students and aspiring legal professionals from the Coptic community. We provide mentorship and foster a professional legal network in order to create a supportive environment where individuals can grow professionally, find guidance and make meaningful connections within the community. We hope to continue developing programs such as networking and application aid, legal clinics, scholarships and much more.

Why are you interested in practising law?

I have always believed that a career in law equips individuals with the skills and qualifications needed to tackle important business challenges while also providing the opportunity to contribute positively to one’s community on a humanitarian level. These two goals – professional excellence and community service – are central to my career objectives.
