AutoScout24 To Acquire TRADER Corporation
Davies is acting as Canadian counsel to Hellman & Friedman-backed AutoScout24, a European online automotive marketplace, in its acquisition of TRADER Corporation, a Canadian online marketplace also offering dealership and OEM software and lender services for the automotive sector, from Thoma Bravo. Operating only in Europe, AutoScout24’s operations are complementary to TRADER’s Canadian operations.
TRADER operates Canadian online automotive marketplaces, AutoTrader.ca and AutoHebdo.net. The Toronto-headquartered company also provides automotive dealer software solutions, under AutoSync, and operates Dealertrack, a Canadian portal connecting automotive dealers and lenders, and Collateral Management Solutions, which provides lien and registration services, recovery services, and insolvency management solutions to Canadian lenders.
