Why did you choose to work with Davies?
I chose Davies because of the generalist approach. As someone who has always worn many hats and whose career has already taken a few different forms, the idea of confining myself to one practice area right away was terrifying. I love that Davies encourages students and lawyers to try out different practice areas and be well-rounded rather than siloed.
Is there an organization that means a lot to you? And how are you involved?
I am passionate about my involvement in the UNB Law Students’ Society (LSS). I became involved with the LSS at the beginning of my law school journey, as the First-Year Executive. In my second year, I was elected as the Vice-President Finance & Operations. I consider it a huge privilege to be elected to serve my peers on the LSS, and I spend a lot of time and energy advocating for UNB Law students and trying to improve everyone’s experiences.
Is there something about you that we would be surprised to learn?
I sincerely, and from a critical perspective, love reality television. Although some might consider it a “guilty pleasure” I don’t have any guilt about enjoying it. I have also been reading work that examines the genre and its sociocultural impacts from a more critical perspective, which is really interesting. I could talk about Love Island (the original UK version of course) for hours.
