Meredith is eager to apply her critical thinking skills and passion for helping people and businesses to solve complex legal challenges.

She is especially drawn to litigation and corporate law, fueled by her enthusiasm for oral advocacy and her experience in legal and regulatory compliance.

If you were not a lawyer, what career would you have chosen?

If I were not a lawyer, I would have been a vet because I have been passionate about animals from a young age. I would have loved the opportunity to blend my compassion for animals with problem-solving skills and restore their health when sick. While I have chosen the law, I think the underlying desire to help – whether people or animals – remains the same. Being a lawyer will allow me to advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their voices are heard, like a veterinarian translates for animals who can’t speak up for themselves.

What surprised you most about Davies during the interview process?

I was surprised to learn how many people have joined the firm as a student or first-year associate and are still happily working at Davies many years later. It was inspiring and reassuring to see the large number of people who have chosen to spend their entire careers at Davies.

Is there a skill you would like to learn?

I would like to learn sign language. Sign language feels like a natural extension of communicating and overcoming accessibility barriers. I have taken other language classes and think that sign language would present a challenging new method of communication.
